 What Is Silver One-Way Privacy Window Film?

Silver one-way privacy window film is a reflective window film designed to reduce visibility (as described below under How it Works) from outside during the day while maintaining clear views from inside. It also reflects sunlight,  helping to reduce heat, glare, and UV exposure.

How It Works (Day vs Night)

The film mirrors the brighter side of the glass and needs to be fitted to all the panes within the room where privacy is required.

During daylight hours, when it is brighter outside than inside, the reflective surface faces outward, helping prevent people from seeing in while allowing you to see out clearly.

At night, when interior lights are on and it is darker outside, the privacy effect is reduced. For this reason, blinds or curtains are recommended after dark.

Like all one-way films, during certain times of the year, privacy can be reduced depending on the sun's position.

This film is designed for internal glass installation and is suitable for DIY fitting.

Because professionally fitted window film should always be trimmed during fitting, when measuring your panes for our pre-cut to size service, there is no need to allow extra for trimming as we always supply slightly oversized free of charge.  Should you wish for a pre-cutting service, to actual sizes, please email orders@omegawindowfilms.co.uk for further details. All orders are pre-cut from a master roll which ensures high quality inspection of the film surface. Pre-cut orders cannot be returned or cancelled once the order has been cut.

Basic installation steps - Full Fitting Instructions will be issued with your order:

1. Clean the glass thoroughly
2. Spray the window with a soapy water solution
3. Position the film and smooth it into place
4. Trim excess film and remove remaining water

Pre-cut sizes make installation easier and you don't pay for waste.
